The Importance of Cultivating Your Unique Talents

The Importance of Cultivating Your Unique Talents

As we go through life, we must remember that we attract what we are. If we want to be positive, we must surround ourselves with positive people and pay close attention to how often we build others up. By giving off positivity, our gift will shine much brighter.

But how can we sharpen our gifts and become even better at what we do? One way is to feed ourselves spiritually, through prayer and mentorship. We should also continue to research, articulate our thoughts, and seek out others with similar gifts.

Even if we have achieved success or possess natural talent, we should never stop learning and growing. We can take classes or seek out opportunities to perfect our craft and become even more effective.

However, we must also be aware of the doors we may be shutting through our own actions and words. Our mouths have the power to close more doors than we may realize. It’s important to look at our lives and ask if we are shutting doors that God has opened because of our own lack of maturity.

But when we are faithful and good with what we have, our gift will make room for us. Just like David, who was faithful and skilled with a simple rag and a rock, our gift can create opportunities, space, and favor for us.

We must never forget that we can achieve great things with less equipment and more of God. As the scripture says, “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them.” God is always working behind the scenes, even in our troubles and trials, preparing things for us that we have not yet received.

So let us remember to stay positive, feed ourselves spiritually, and continually sharpen our gifts. And let us have faith that God is working in the background, preparing great things for us that we have yet to see.
